Hours of sky. Seconds of magic.
Set your phone on a stand, pick a scene and let it record. Time Lapse Camera keeps going in the background, saves every photo the moment it is taken, and turns it all into a video you'll want to share.
Everything you need, nothing in the way.
Time Lapse Camera by VyVolt looks simple. Underneath it has everything a serious time-lapse needs.
Never lose a recording
Every photo is saved the moment it is taken. If the app or phone closes, you continue right where you left off.
Records with the screen off
Keeps capturing in the background, with the screen off or while you use other apps.
Scenes for every shot
Clouds, city, sunset to night, stars and plants presets set the right interval and exposure for you.
Pro camera controls
Manual shutter, ISO, focus and white balance, all locked during capture so the video doesn't flicker.
Edit like your gallery
Trim, cut, split, freeze a moment, reverse, change speed from ¼× to 30×, filters and date stamps.
Music that fits
Pick any part of a song, add more songs, set the volume and fade in and out.
1080p and 4K
24, 30 or 60 fps, vertical or horizontal, with deflicker, stabilise and star-trail effects.
Safe for long nights
Watches battery, heat and storage, warns you early and stops safely instead of losing your work.
Import and merge
Turn gallery photos or a normal video into a time-lapse, or merge several time-lapses into one.
Three steps. That's it.
Set it up
Put your phone on a stand or ledge, plug it in for long recordings, and pick a scene.
Let it record
Tap record and walk away. Dim the screen or use other apps; every photo is saved as it's taken.
Make the video
Trim, set the speed, add music and a filter, then save it to your gallery or share it.
Built to fix what others get wrong.
We read 1,040 1–3★ reviews of time-lapse apps on Google Play and the App Store first. These were the biggest complaints.
Questions, answered.
Is it really free?
Yes. There is no subscription, no paywall, no watermark and no limit on recording length. In the future we may show a small banner ad on screens where you are not recording, never during a recording.
Can I turn the screen off while it records?
Yes, on Android the app keeps recording in the background, with the screen off or while you use other apps. For long recordings, plug in your phone and allow the app to run without battery restrictions; the app shows you how.
What happens if the app or my phone closes?
Nothing is lost. Every photo is saved the moment it is taken. Open the app again and you can make the video or continue the same time-lapse.
How long can I record?
As long as your phone has storage. The app shows how much space and time you have left, and warns you before you run low.
Are my photos uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything stays on your phone. There is no account and no server. Read the privacy policy for details.
Is there an iPhone version?
Android comes first. An iPhone version is planned.
